As a ClearVoice content creator, you will always be paid upon assignment approval.

How it works:

  1. Provide ClearVoice with your PayPal email address at signup.
  2. Complete and submit an assignment by the due date.
  3. We encourage editors to review an assignment, request a revision or approve within five business days. Assignments will auto-approve after 30 days of inactivity. 
  4. The editor approves the assignment.
  5. ClearVoice immediately releases the payment to your PayPal account.*
  6. You are notified via email when the assignment is approved.

*ClearVoice charges a 25 percent service fee for every assignment.

Viewing your payments:

  1. Log in.
  2. Click on the "Payments" tab on the bottom left side of your dashboard.

Adding/updating your PayPal email address:

  1. Go to your account settings by clicking on your profile image at the top right of your screen.
  2. Click on "Settings."
  3. Click on "Marketplace Settings."
  4. Scroll down to the field that reads "PayPal Email."

Changing your rate:

  1. Navigate to your account settings by clicking on your profile image at the top right of your screen.
  2. Click on "Settings."
  3. Click on "Marketplace Settings."
  4. Update the top two fields with your preferred rate range.

Income Tax Information:

ClearVoice does not issue 1099s at the end of the year, as all payment processing is done through PayPal. PayPal will issue a 1099K for to the IRS with all payment information for independent contractors that meet the following requirements:

$20,000 in Payment for the year AND
200 payments for the year

If you don't meet these requirements, PayPal will not issue you the form — you can use your own records to determine how much business income you had.
