How to update you pricing preferences
It’s always best to accurately convey your pricing preferences so you are contacted for relevant opportunities. You can do this at any time by navigating to your Financial Settings in the dropdown menu in the top right-hand corner of your dashboard.
Settings > Marketplace Settings > Input Preferred price per word * and/or Don’t show me assignments lower than __ per word * > Update Settings
At ClearVoice, assignments are paid out through a price per word model. For example, you can expect to earn $100 on a 1,000-word article at the cost per word selection of $0.10/word (Note that ClearVoice’s 25% service fee will apply).
On average, ClearVoice opportunities across all industries pay just under $0.30/word. Though some pay more, the majority pay between $0.10 - $0.20/word.
When searching for writers, clients can filter freelancers based on their desired pay. Your set pricing will determine whether or not you appear in a client’s search results.
